Bill and his wife Donna have been married for 37 years. They attend the Princeton Church of God.
Bill is a 1966 graduate of Spanishburg High School and a Vietnam War Veteran.

Rick Fowler, son of Buddie and Lolita Fowler, was born and raised in Wilmington, NC. He is married to Wanda, the niece of former Senator Tony Whitlow. Rick retired from the US Air Force after twenty-one years of service, including seven years as both a military and civilian police officer. Rick was elected Mercer County Magistrate in 2004 and serves in the Bluefield office.
